Who would have thought a month ago I’d be opening up my very own luxurious lingerie shop? Playboy billionaire Asher Young, that’s who. And with his encouragement, and deep pockets (that look very good on the seat of his tight pants), my dreams are finally coming true.

The only problem is, my silent partner has turned out to be all mouth — and lips. And tongue.
Is he for real, or is this just another one of his flirty games? With my dreams on the line, I can’t afford to get played.

But when he touches me like that, all bets are off…

Asher was ticking off a list of details on his fingers.

“We still need to get this space completely renovated and set-dressed, finalize the last hirings of additional people to produce your designs, finalize your launch collection, register trademarks, and establish the company on paper.” He frowned. “I feel like I’m forgetting something. Oh yes! Contact the press.”

Meanwhile, my lust had been completely overridden by blind panic.

“Slow down, Flash Gordon,” I tried to joke, doing my best to keep my hands and voice from shaking with anxiety as I responded.

Usually making a reference to Asher’s secret geekiness was good for about a half hour of him condescendingly explaining how I’d mangled or misconstrued said reference, but today he just laughed, leaning back against the wall in an unfairly relaxed posture.

“Feeling the pressure?”

There were deep sea divers who were feeling less pressure than I was. “Oh, only every second of every day. Dammit, Asher, I’m up to my eyeballs in work and I don’t have the first idea how to go about doing half the things you just said!”

It cost me to admit that, but I couldn’t endanger my dream for the sake of my pride.

Candi's Review

We left off in part 1 with Kate making a business deal with one sexy Asher Young. He’s willing to finance her dreams of having her own lingerie shop. During all of their prep work, they continue their banter. Which I absolutely love!! Sometimes I feel like Kate and I were separated at birth! I love her smart ass mouth. Her humor. Her take no shit type of attitude. And it shines even brighter!! Kate is struggling some though. She has her asshole (IMO) parents who like to belittle her when they aren’t ignoring her. She’s dealing with all the hundreds of things that need to be done by the time of her grand opening. And she is also dealing with her sexual pull for Asher. And speaking of Asher. Can I just say that I love him? He is Kate’s sound of reasoning. Her rock. Her bottle of Xanax’s when Kate starts to panic. He might come off as a playboying man whore. But there’s much more to him. And with this ending!!! I’m hoping we find out more. Because I’m sure he can explain his actions. For said ending.

I was also very satisfied with something that didn’t happen in part one. VERY. SATISFIED. Especially during a particular scene where it seemed Kate made that “certain demand.” This was a first for me and I freaking loved it!!!! No spoilers here. So you will just have to read to find out what!!! I’m already counting down the days for part 3!!! If you haven’t checked out this series yet, then you must!!

Book One

Sexy playboy billionaire Asher Young goes through girlfriends like he goes through bottles of Moët. I would know — he brings them all to get fitted for my luxury lingerie designs. I guess that’s one way to avoid awkward conversations when they find another girl’s panties in his Maserati.

Now he has a proposition for me: he’ll invest in my design business, and I’ll finally open the boutique of my dreams.

There’s just one problem: I can’t stop kissing him. And he looks REALLY good naked.

Make that two problems….
