What’s worse than driving a phallic-shaped RV across the country with a coworker you hate? Falling in love with them.

Copywriter Callie Murphy has a bad attitude, a vicious tongue, and a serious aversion to Shimura Advertising’s resident manwhore, Walker Rhodes. Know where he can stick his good looks and Southern charm? She can think of a few creative places. Avoiding him wouldn’t be a problem, except her boss threatens to fire her if she doesn’t go along with him on their RV client’s cross-country tour.

Burnt-out art director, Walker, is sick of his job, tired of women, and in a big old creative rut. The upcoming client road trip is just what he needs to shake things up and rediscover his lost passion. But his plans go south when his partner drops out at the last minute, and Callie, the foul-mouthed tiny terror, takes her place. Unless he can find a way to thaw his icy coworker, he’s looking at two months of pure hell.

On the road, they experience one hilarious misadventure after another and soon find themselves on a life-changing journey. But when their paths veer off in different directions, will they hit a dead end?

Road-Tripped by Nicole Archer was one of my favorite reads of 2016! The author sent a funny review request that piqued my interest, and I signed right up. It’s always exciting yet nerve wracking to read a new-to-me author, and books like Road-Tripped make me want to do it more often!

The premise of the novel is enemies-to-lovers with an original twist. Her characters are well developed, flawed albeit charming. The writing in this book really impressed me. Archer has the art of “showing not telling” down to a science. I could feel Callie’s sorrow all over her, and I could understand Walker’s deep need for change as if it were my own.

Callie isn’t your typical feisty little heroine. She’s dealing with some heavy shit from her past, which is coloring her entire outlook, but underneath all of the sadness is a caring and charming woman who knocked Walker on his ass. As for Walker? He’s all swoony southern charm with substance. His similes had me scratching my head and then laughing out loud. He’s safely ensconced in the “I love him and want to marry him” leading man seat. However, he’s got his own bag of issues to work through. Watching these two come together had my emotions all over the place. I was rooting for them so hard!

Speaking of hard … the sex scenes in this book are super hot and left-hand worthy. Basically, this book gave me all the feels! I love it! It was a fantastic romantic comedy with serious heat and heart. I highly recommend it and think you should give it a 1-click today!

P.S. I want to take Callie and Walker’s road trip route! If only I could find a retro silver Airstream.

P.S.S. I’m in love with the cover to this book and the author’s graphics! Bravo to the author for using an artistic cover!

Nicole Archer’s lengthy career as an advertising copywriter not only polished her writing skills—it provided a lifetime of book material. Many months her book purchases are as high as her mortgage. As a full-time, working single mom of a beautiful boy, she has little time to do much else, but work, write, read, drink wine, and breathe. In real life, she lives in Dallas, Texas, but she’d rather live in Switzerland. Maybe if the book takes off.
