We love books here at Dirty Laundry Review! One thing 2017 had in abundance was fantastic books!

Reader friends! I was in a work & political fog for most of the year and it hampered my usual voracious reading. I wasn’t feeling the love for romance and binged on A LOT of heartbreak and murder mystery which seemed to match my mood. But as it turns out, as much as I tried, I couldn’t escape love! For all the heartbreak and darkness in some of these books … love beamed through the pages. A mother’s love, a sister’s love, a father’s love, a brother’s love, a friend’s love, a daughter’s love, a son’s love, and yes, even my cold black heart cheered for a lover’s love. So cheers to 2017 and to the universe for showing me that love really is all around us. And an extra special thanks to these wonderfully talented authors for showing me love in the midst of heartbreak and pain. For making me cry my eyes out and feeling my heart burst wide open and, really, for giving me an emotional outlet for all of these FEELINGS that 2017 brought me. It feels a lot like hope.
